Malignant Melanoma
Malignant melanoma is considered the most severe form of skin cancer that develops in cells that yield melanin which is a crucial component in the body because it gives people’s skin color (Mayo Clinic,2022). It grows very quickly and spread all over the body.
Epidemiology
The incidence of Malignant melanoma has risen rapidly over the course of the last 50 years, it appeared to be most common among fair-skinned populations, and in regions of lower latitude (National Library of Medicine,2019). Malignant melanoma is also found among geriatric populations, it is also the most common cancer found in adolescent and young adult populations (Mayo Clinic,2022). To say further, Malignant melanoma is one of the leading cancers in average years of life lost per death from disease; malignant melanoma incidence varies by sex, which is also Similar differences by region, ethnicity, age, and sex are observed in mortality rates (National Library of Medicine,2019).
Risk Factors
Some of the factors that might increase an individual’s risk of suffering from Malignant melanoma include excessive ultraviolet light exposure, fair skin, having many moles, a history of sunburn, and a weakened immune system. People can reduce the risk of Malignant melanoma and other types of cancer by taking certain measures like wearing protective clothing, wearing sunscreen year-round, and avoiding the sun during midday (Cleveland Clinic,2021). other ways include becoming familiar with one’s skin so that you can easily detect changes and avoiding tanning lamps and beds.
Signs
Malignant melanoma is asymmetry and had irregular edges, varying shades of color, and a size greater than ¼ inch (Pg 86, Turley, 2020) Although Malignant melanoma mainly develops in the cells, it can also form in one’s eyes and, in rare cases, inside the body, including the throat or nose (Mayo Clinic,2022). The major cause of malignant melanoma has not been made clear, although exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or tanning lamps usually raises a person’s risk of suffering from Malignant melanoma (Turley, 2020). Due to that, melanoma often develops in body parts such as legs, arms, and faces because they are more often exposed to the sun (Turley,2022). Nevertheless, it might develop in parts that do not acquire much sunlight exposure, like the soles of the feet, palms of one’s hands, and fingernail beds
Symptoms
The major signs and symptoms of melanoma include the growth of a new pigmented or unusual-looking development on the skin and a change in an existing mole (Cleveland Clinic,2022).
Normal moles usually have an identical color with a discrete border separating the mole from the skin’s surroundings. Most of those moles start appearing in childhood, and new moles might develop till one is about forty years. By the time people are adults, they might have ten to forty moles, although they might change in appearance with time, while some might even fade after some time (Mayo Clinic, 2022)

Hi Happiness,
Your post is quite informative and educative. I went future to research your topic, and I found that Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that can affect the many tissues of the joint. It is by far the most common form of arthritis, affecting more than 32.5 million adults in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (Arthritis Foundation,2022). Osteoarthritis was known as a “wear and tear” condition, generally associated with aging. But we know now that it is a disease of the entire joint, including bone, cartilage, ligaments, fat, and the tissues lining the joint. Osteoarthritis can degrade cartilage, change bone shape, and cause inflammation, resulting in pain, stiffness, and loss of mobility (Arthritis Foundation,2022).
