Being a first-year teacher can be trying. It would be best if you had the positive support of your coworkers and administration. Preparing for instruction centered around standards can be even more challenging if you have not done it before. So, we must believe that we are in an environment that will motivate teachers and students and, simultaneously, be eager to do God’s work. I start my day every day, waking up in the morning and asking that God get the glory out of everything I do that day. That means teaching, walking, talking, and everything surrounding my day. I asked that his light shines through me and lead others to him. that by no means makes me present myself as perfect because I am not. I was easy in knowing that just as Jeremiah 29:11 says, “God already knows the plan he has for me,” And I try to walk in it every day (NIV).

As a teacher, sometimes it is so hard, but at the same time, it is fulfilling. I love my students with all my heart, and I try to show them a positive way to interact with each other. My room has always been a bully-free zone, so treating each other how you want to be treated is always necessary. Respect should always be given to everyone, and I expect the same from my students. So, Titus 2:7 works well for me because “I try to set an example by trying to do what is good” (NIV). Respect should also be given when producing the proper instruction and curriculum for your classroom. It should not be easy, and it should not be lazy. It should provide the appropriate amount of rigor and instructions.

And saying all that, it still comes a time for even experienced teachers when we get tired or would become weary, but that is when as the body of Christ, we should be able to work together and pick each other up. Sometimes we are unaware that our coworkers need help, and communication comes in. It’s an old saying a closed mouth does not get fed, which means nobody can read your mind. You have to tell people what you need.

Scriptures and the word can help in all trying times. We must remember that God has us. We can not forget to pray for ourselves, our families, and our students. Work as if we are working unto God. We must always keep the faith and allow God to come in and move on our behalf.

On January 11, 1977 a baby girl was brought into this world. At birth , she weighed less than a pound .Her mom held her in the palm of her hand. She fought for her life even before she could speak. A mother’s prayer reached heaven and God granted her request. She made a promise to God that if he spared her  life , she will give her back to him. Like a breath of fresh air ,God blew life within her.  God had a plan for her life even before the foundations of the Earth. With caring hands her parents raised her with the fear of God, love, and the value of an Education. A seed was planted over forty-five years ago. Throughout the years, their has been rocky ground but the seed weathered the storm. I am that seed. It is harvest time. On this year , I walked out on faith and believed God that this was my season. Faith without works is dead. I asked, seek , and knocked and God opened the door. We can do all things through Christ Jesus. Growing up in a family of Educators, I saw the love and passion through their eyes. I always wanted to teach and leave that lasting impression on my students. Teaching is more than a career,  it’s a call from God. I answered my call. The word of God is our blueprint. It ‘s a lamp to feet and a light to our path. Theirs no secret in God you can  find everything you need.  Wisdom, knowledge, peace, joy and above all comfort comes from God. God knows the end from the beginning.  This gives us the insurance that there is nothing impossible for God to do. Every step God is with us. This refreshes our soul. When trying times comes and we become weary his word will come into our hearts to gives us life and strength. For such as a time as this we have been given a great responsibility to guide and impart knowledge with integrity and heart. Begin to plant your seed and watch it grow.

Planning to provide for all students’ abilities is imperative, and can be frustrating when trying to accomplish these as a teacher. However, the Scriptures from Weeks 1-3 can most definitely help encourage and aid me when I feel like I cannot get things done. One of the Scriptures in the Bible that can help motivate me to provide for all of my students’ abilities is Jeremiah 29:11, which states, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”(NIV). This means that even when I feel discouraged or tired from working, I have to have and maintain the faith that God has this plan for me because I feel that I have a calling to teach, and that He will guide me through any obstacle, even if I may get frustrated.

Another Scripture from these few weeks that I would abide by is 1 Peter 5:2. It states, “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve” (NIV). This means that I must be eager and willing to serve and watch over my students, just as God watches over us. When some days I may feel frustrated or discouraged, I can also count on another Scripture from the Bible, Phillippians 4:6-7, which also states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (NIV). This means that with whatever frustration or feeling that I may get from teaching, I have to consistently stay in prayer and believe that God will bring peace and understanding to me, so that I can successfully meet all of my students’ needs in the classroom.
