The purpose of an annotated bibliography is to develop research appropriate to your subject matter. It is not intended that each article in an annotated bibliography be included as a reference for your paper. Rather, the annotation serves to identify the article’s topic, the quality of the information provided, and an assessment of the value of its content to your research. This allows you to identify the most relevant sources for your research. Development of a detailed annotated bibliography provides a foundation for the background and content of your issue analysis.
