Create a complete Medical Facility policy on the Stark Law

Assuming you are the compliance officer for your Medical Facility Texas State Medical Center, follow the steps below to complete the final project.

1. Create a complete Medical Facility policy on the Stark Law. Refer to Safian, S. (2010) Essentials of Health Care Compliance, (1st ed.) chapter 8, “Creating Policies and Procedures,” for guidance on this part of your project. You will format this as if it were an actual policy document in a health care facility, you can find samples on the internet.

2. Be sure to assign one or more disciplinary actions to violations of the policy. Refer to Safian, S. (2010) Essentials of Health Care Compliance, (1st ed.) chapter 13, “Enforcement: Dealing with Non-Compliance,” on this part of your project.

3. Design a training program target towards physician, Nurse Practitioner and dentist to educate your staff on this new policy. Be certain to address all of the elements of a good training program. Refer to Safian, S. (2010) Essentials of Health Care Compliance, (1st ed.) chapter 9, “Education and Training,” for guidance on this part of your project.

4. Combine the three elements above into a Microsoft Word document (written policy to include disciplinary actions and a training plan to accompany the policy)
