Healthcare Law and Ethics

This is for the paper that you did last week on death with dignity. I need to find a case about death with dignity, the right to die, etc…Then I need to type a memo about the case. There is a memo template on word I believe.

This assignment supports the following unit learning outcomes:

Examine the rule of law and ethical practices as they apply to the healthcare organization.

Develop an understanding of how state and federal regulations affect healthcare business decisions.

• Construct an ethical framework for collaborations within and outside of the organization.
• Demonstrate skills in solving ethical dilemmas within the rule of law in healthcare business examples.
• This is Part 2 of 3 for your final course project. Choose a scenario or case study to analyze as it relates to Part 1 of your chosen topic. You can use any source for obtaining this case study, but you must cite the document. Recommendations for locating health law and ethics case studies include:

Case Studies for Nursing

After reviewing your case study, you will type a memo of approximately 500 to 1000 words in length that analyzes your findings. As you build your memo, you should utilize the topic headings below:

The situation– State the facts pertinent to the situation.

Ethical dilemmas or issues– Discuss the values and norms that are in conflict.

• The stakeholders involved – List them and include their involvement. Discuss why they are stakeholders and how they are affected.

The ethical norms– Discuss the relevant ethical norms that apply to the case. Think about the tenants of Western philosophy discussed in this course.

Alternative courses of action and tradeoffs– Discuss at least 2 alternatives available to deal with this dilemma or issue. What are the tradeoffs of each course of action for the stakeholders involved?
