Question/Problem
How do we craft an appropriate mix of capabilities that ensure quality patient care and a
satisfying career experience for direct care nurses?
Aims
This plan aims to create the right mix of capabilities to ensure that direct care nurses were
satisfied and knowledgeable at their jobs. This will show how job satisfaction helps alleviate
staffing issues, improving safety and quality of care for patients.
Objectives
Facilitate staff development programs.
Promote evidence-based nursing practice.
Ensure the credibility of the nursing profession.
Provide a scientific basis for nursing care.
Establish residency programs for nurses entering the profession.
Identify factors that attain and retain qualified nurses.
Foster collaboration with other professional disciplines and institutions.
