For this activity we will re-visit one of last week’s objectives — overcoming barriers to the adoption and acceptance of HIT.

Physician
acceptance and use of clinical information systems are often cited as
challenges. This activity asks you to conceive of arguments or tactics
for encouraging acceptance by physicians. Assume your physician group is
actively resisting a new clinical systems.

• First, anticipate and articulate their concerns.

Develop arguments or approaches for alleviating their concerns and their resistance.
