Sam,

Feedback, positive or negative, is needed for new and seasoned staff. Positive feedback provides staff with the knowledge that they are doing a good job and should be given freely.  Negative feedback, as I like to call it constructive feedback, is also necessary as staff need to know what areas of improvement are needed and allows them to improve their performance.  My philosophy as a Director of Nursing mis that I am obligated to provide this feedback to allow my staff to develop into the best they can be.  How is feedback provided in the ICU? By whom?
